To activate Xmind Pro or Premium, simply sign in to your Xmind account to unlock the features.

Xmind for Desktop:

  2. Launch Xmind app,

How do I upgrade from Xmind Pro to the Premium Plan?

We support upgrading from Xmind Pro to the Premium Plan (yearly) by paying the price difference.

Upgrade from the website:

  1. Visit the Xmind website and navigate to the Pricing page,
  2. Select the Premium Plan,
  3. Click on "Upgrade" to complete the process.

* After upgrading to Premium Plan, your previous Xmind Pro subscription will be cancelled, and the Premium subscription starts immediately with annual billing only. Upgrades are final and non-refundable. For questions, contact support@xmind.com.

Upgrade from Apple App Store:

Xmind App > Settings > Profile > Upgrade to Premium.

*After purchasing the Xmind Premium yearly plan, you will receive a refund from Apple based on the remaining duration of your Xmind Pro subscription. If you encounter any issues during this process, please contact Apple Support.

Upgrade from Google Play Store:

Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions > Xmind > Manage/Upgrade.

*When you upgrade, your Xmind Pro will be canceled, the remaining time converted to Premium, and your new plan will start immediately.


What are AI credits and how do they work?

Credits are a virtual currency in Xmind that allow you to use AI-powered features such as generating mind maps, creating to-do lists, and expanding ideas based on selected topics. Credits are consumed each time you use an AI feature. The number of credits required mainly depends on your specific request, as well as the length and complexity of the content to be generated. For example, generating ideas for a single topic may use 2–4 credits, while creating an entire mind map may take 3–6 credits, depending on how detailed and extensive it is. Xmind Premium/Business plans include a monthly credit allowance. You can buy extra credits add-ons for $3.99 per 500 credits. Unused subscription credits reset monthly, but credits purchased as add-ons do not expire. For team plans, only the Team Owner or Admin can purchase credit add-ons.



How to upgrade to a team plan?

Xmind offers two types of Team Plans: Xmind Business and Xmind Enterprise, each providing powerful collaboration features, unlimited shared storage, monthly AI credits to boost creativity and productivity, as well as advanced team control for easier management.

For Xmind Business:

1. Sign in on Xmind.

2. Create a new team or selecting an existing one.

3. Go to Settings > Plans, then click Upgrade.

4. Select your billing period and number of seats, review the total amount, enter your payment details, and click Submit Payment.

For Xmind Enterprise:

How to adjust the team size and how will I be billed?

Adjusting Team Size

The Team Owner/Admin can adjust the team size anytime in Team Settings:

1. Go to Team Settings.

2. Navigate to Plans > Team Size > Adjust.

3. Adjust the number of seats, and click Confirm.

4. You'll receive confirmation that your team size has changed.

Billings

For monthly plans:

• New seats are billed as a full month, no matter when added.

• Removed seats are not refunded. The renewal amount updates in the next billing cycle. For yearly plans:

• New seats are charged from the month added through the end of the current billing cycle.

• Removed seats are not refunded. The renewal fee updates in the next cycle.


What are the image insertion guidelines on an online file?

Images should be under 10MB. If dimensions exceed 2048 pixels, they will be resized to a maximum of 2048 pixels on the longest side. Supported formats are JPG (JPEG), PNG, GIF, SVG, and WebP.


How to request a refund for Xmind Subscription?

Xmind Pro offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a full refund by emailing your order number or the email associated with your purchase to support@xmind.com.

*Refunds are only available for the Yearly subscription.

For Xmind Premium subscription, it is non-refundable; however, you can cancel your subscription anytime. The cancellation will take effect after the current billing cycle ends, with no additional charges incurred.

How to turn off my auto-renewal service?

Xmind Pro/Premium/Business subscriptions automatically renew, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time:

For Xmind Pro purchased from the Xmind website:

  1. Sign in to your account on Xmind website,
  2. Navigate to "Subscription" > "Manage",
  3. Click "Turn Off Auto-Renew".

For Xmind Premium/Business purchased from the Xmind website:

  1. Sign into your account at app.xmind.com,
  2. Go to My Works/your team space,
  3. Click the "Settings" > "Plans",
  4. On the Plans page, locate the "Cancel" button and click it to initiate the cancellation process.

For purchases through the Apple App Store:

Why can’t I create more than 3 sheets in my online maps as an Xmind Pro subscriber?

As an Xmind Pro subscriber, you can continue to create an unlimited number of mind maps and sheets saved locally, just as before. In addition, you can save up to 50 online maps. Please note that online maps are limited to 3 sheets for each file.


How can I recover my Xmind files if they are corrupted or lost?

If your Xmind files are corrupted or lost, you can try recovering them from file cache depending on the version and platform you are using:

  • If the file was created with Xmind (V25) desktop version, you can click "File" > "File Cache" from the menu to recover a backup file.
  • If the file was created with Xmind for mobile(iOS), you can go to Xmind "Settings" > "File Cache" to recover a backup file.
  • If the file was created with XMind 8 (Legacy), you can click "Window" > "Black Box" from the menu to recover a backup file.


How can I change the language of the Xmind app?
