Runway is both a company and an AI tool (or an online video editing and production website) launched by the company.

Runway was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in New York, USA, focusing on the field of image and video editing. The company has launched a variety of artificial intelligence tools for individual and enterprise users, and its products include RunwayML.

This Runway Tool has a very complete online video processing technology. Currently, it has developed more than 30 AI magic tools. Its Gen-2 model is a better video generation model in the market, capable of supporting the generation of 4K-resolution videos. Users can generate videos through text and input instructions to import video materials, color grade, and eliminate selected objects in the video.

In April 2023, Runway was selected into the "Forbes AI 50 List 2023: The Most Promising Artificial Intelligence Companies". In June of the same year, the company received a $100 million Series D investment from Google and was valued at $1.5 billion. On November 24th, Runway was selected into the "Fortune" Global AI Innovators 50 List.
